Frontier laying off 213 Wisconsin employees

By Michael Garko, In Airline News Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways, filed a mass layoff notice with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on Friday.  In the notice, the airline stated it would lay off 213 employees by November 14.

Frontier to launch service to Little Rock and Palm Springs

By Michael Garko, In Airline News Frontier Airlines announced Monday that it will add two new destionations to its route system.  Beginning November 17th, the airline will fly to Little Rock, Ar. and Palm Springs, Ca. from its hub in Denver.

Frontier’s newest city is Rockford, Ill.

By Michael Garko, In Airline News Frontier Airlines has announced that Rockford, Ill. will be its newest destination.  Frontier will fly to Rockford from its hub in Denver three times weekly using its 138-seat Airbus A319 aircraft.

Route Update: Frontier to resume Milwaukee-Branson service

By Michael Garko, In Airline News Frontier Airlines announced today that it will resume its seasonal service between its Milwaukee hub and Branson Airport in Missouri.  Frontier currently flies year round to Branson from Denver International Airport.

Route Update: Frontier pulling out of RDU

Sources are reporting that Raleigh-Durham International will be dropped by Frontier in their early winter 2012 schedule release on Sunday.  The twice daily route to Milwaukee was inherited by Frontier in the merger with Midwest Airlines last year.

Denver has new #2 airline

By Michael Garko, In Airline News Southwest’s continued growth at Denver International Airport has made it the new number two airline in marketshare.  Southwest reportedly passed based Frontier Airlines near the end of 2010, as has pulled away ever since.
