Alaska Air to launch Philadelphia and Fort Lauderdale flights, drops Miami
Alaska Air announced Tuesday morning that it will begin flying to Philadelphia from its Seattle hub beginning June 11, 2011. The airline will also switch its flights from Miami to Fort Lauderdale later that month. Continue reading »
Alaska reports second quarter earnings
By Michael Garko, In Airline News Alaska Air reported that it was able to earn a $28.8 million net income in the second quarter. Excluding special items, the airline recorded a record second quarter net income of $89.6 million, or $2.44 per diluted share.
Alaska Airlines adds more Hawaii service from San Diego; gives away 160 tickets
By Michael Garko, In Airline News Alaska Airlines has announced it is continuing its growth from San Diego to Hawaii with daily service to Honolulu. The new flight will start November 17th and will compliment existing service to Maui and Kahului from San Diego that started in October of 2010.
