The order for Boeing’s newest airplane comes just four months after Lion Air placed the largest order ever by dollar value and number of airplanes for the US plane manufacturer.  The order included 29 of Boeing’s extended range version of the 737-900 and 201 of Boeing’s yet to be built 737 MAX.  Also included in the order is the option for 150 additional aircraft.

According to FOX Business, Batik Air would use the 787 in addition to Boeing 737 aircraft for flight operations to parts of Asia and Australia.  Eventual plans could include flights to Europe and North America.
