Allegiant adds Wilkes-Barre/Scranton flights

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport has lured low-cost carrier Allegiant Air to Northeastern Pennsylvania.  Allegiant will launch flights to Orlando-Sanford International Airport beginning June 21.

“This is great news that Allegiant will be serving Northeastern Pennsylvania with service to Orlando,” said Barry Centini, Airport Director in the release. “Orlando is one of our top destinations, and we are excited that Allegiant will provide our area’s families and businesses with convenient, nonstop service to Orlando.”

Flights will be operated on Thursday and Sunday using MD-80 aircraft.
