Spirit Airlines continued its expansion at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport on Thursday by announcing it would add flights to Tampa. The ultra low-cost carrier has announced seven new destinations out of Dallas in the past four months including; Atlanta, Boston, Orlando, Myrtle Beach, New York-LaGuardia, Phoenix-Mesa, and now Tampa. Spirit also flies to Chicago-O’hare, Fort Lauderdale, and Las Vegas from DFW.
“We are excited to be liberating even more customers from high fares as we continue to grow the number of cities we serve from Dallas/Fort Worth,” said Spirit’s Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Barry Biffle in the company’s release.

Dallas/Fort Worth is be the fourth destination for Spirit out of Tampa, including Atlantic City, Detroit, and Fort Lauderdale. DFW flights will run on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday starting May 4.
