Frontier Airlines, a subsidiary of Republic Airways, filed a mass layoff notice with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on Friday. In the notice, the airline stated it would lay off 213 employees by November 14.

The news comes as Frontier is dramatically decreasing its presence in Milwaukee. Earlier in the month, the airline announced it would end service from Milwaukee to Dayton, Des Moines, Green Bay, Ironwood, Madison, and Minneapolis. Frontier also plans to reduce service to several other cities including Kansas City.
